Volunteer Space listed as nominee for SPARK Awards 2018

We are proud to boast about one of our companies –Volunteer Space. They have been short-listed for Cardiff University’s SPARK Awards 2018. 

They have qualified for the VENTURE level, which involves companies or projects that are have currently been running in the last 12 months to 2 years.

As part of the event, Volunteer Space will be expected to present their business to a panel of judges. Where the winners will receive incredible prizes of £3000, an industry consultancy package from S3 Advertising and mentoring from the team at Paperclip. 

The winners will then be announced at our SPARK Awards ceremony on Thursday 22nd March (6 – 8pm). 

Three of the founders in the company are Cardiff University graduates, with First Class Honours degrees.

Ben Moore, Managing Director, studied a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Ryan Gibbs, Software Engineer, achieved a BSc in Computer Science.

Vanessa YauHead of Engineering, achieved a BSc in Computing and Mathematics.

It’s been a rewarding time Volunteer Space these past few weeks.

They have recently received £250,000 investment from  Wesley CloverWelsh Government and The Waterloo Foundation.
